Cluster routers that have been successfully implemented in only 4 years
Currently, only a few vendors worldwide are able to develop cluster router devices. As a new generation core router independently developed by Xinhuasan for carrier applications, the CR19000 adopts a new software and hardware architecture design, applies the industry's advanced CLOS architecture and cutting-edge optical connectivity technology, and is developed based on the network operating system Comware V7, which comprehensively improves the stability of the core router software system and has good software scalability, fully meeting the deployment requirements of operational users.
In terms of performance, the CR19000 cluster router represents the top level of similar products today. It provides the industry's high-density 100G Ethernet interface and supports 12-frame clusters, which can be expanded to a maximum of 72-frame clusters, making the CR19000 the best of its kind in the world today.
In terms of application deployment, the CR19000 cluster router can be widely used in core locations such as carrier backbone nodes, carrier metro core nodes, and large data center interconnection nodes. So far, CR19000 cluster router has 300 units of landing projects in China, including CMnet national backbone nodes of China Mobile, Guangdong Telecom, Shanghai Mobile, and also involves electric power, transportation, medical and other industries, and has been recognized by users.
The CR19000 cluster router can simultaneously carry massive data transmission demands, save 70% space and 50% energy consumption, and the device supports single-frame, back-to-back and multi-frame clusters and smooth upgrades, all of which can help operators increase revenue capacity, reduce TCO and protect system investment.
Future product planning for clustered routers by Xinhua San
High-end cluster routers are characterized by large forwarding capacity, good performance, stability and reliability, and a network architecture with extensibility and scalability that can support rich applications. Based on these characteristics, Xinhuashan will plan the development of cluster routers from the following 3 aspects.
The first aspect is to continue the existing system architecture, iterate continuously, and improve performance and capacity. Through the use of self-research chip technology, we will improve the single slot and the whole machine capacity, and make the system bigger and stronger.
The second aspect, in the case of improving performance, specifications and capacity, Xinhuasan will adopt new technologies, such as heat dissipation technology and heat conduction technology, to improve chip integration, bring down the power consumption of the whole system and create green devices, while miniaturizing and intensifying the devices.
The third aspect is to make the cluster system equipment of Xinhuashan automated and intelligent. The importance of equipment makes the pressure on operation and maintenance personnel very high. Xinhuashan's next step is to use current SDN technology and AI technology to make equipment easier to maintain, service deployment more convenient and troubleshooting more agile.
